Christopher Woodruff named LMC Hospitality
Management Instructor
BENTON
TOWNSHIP, MI - Lake Michigan College has hired Christopher
Woodruff to head its Hospitality Management program. A native
of St. John's, Michigan, Woodruff brings 15 years of hospitality
management industry experience and seven years of industry teaching
experience to LMC. Most recently, he served as ticket office
supervisor for the Detroit Lions National Football League team
and ticket services administrator for the Detroit Tigers Major
League Baseball club.
"With the growth of the hospitality industry
in this area, this is a wonderful time to be involved in the
Hospitality Management program at Lake Michigan College,"
Woodruff said. "I am really looking forward to working
with students who are eager to pursue careers in Hospitality
Management and partnering with local hospitality industry leaders."
Woodruff has worked as an adjunct faculty member
and full-time lecturer at Eastern Michigan University, a visiting
faculty member at Northwood University and an adjunct faculty
member at Lansing Community College.
His industry experience includes management positions
with the Hilton Hotels Corporation, Grand Hotel on Mackinac
Island and Taco Bell restaurants.
Woodruff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
Hospitality and Tourism Management from Grand Valley State and
a Masters of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from
Eastern Michigan University. He is currently working on his
Ph.D. in Hotel and Restaurant Administration through Oklahoma
State University.
